Cannot add finger print to Magic keyboard

My finger print touch ID on my Magic Keyboard was not working. I decided to delete the existing finger print so that I could add a new one. When I attempt to do this, I cannot get past the dialogue box that prompts me to double press the on/off button on my Mac Studio. I've tuned the keyboard off and on, I have wiped all of the keys completely and have done two restarts and this is where I am.
