Conditional Highlighting Only Works for a Specific Amount of Data

I've been messing around with Numbers and conditional highlighting recently, trying to see how it fares to Excel, and am confused as to why my conditional highlighting rules are not working. Below are the rules I've created followed by a large array of test data, ensuring the highlighting works as intended...

My question is, why do my conditional highlighting rules work up to a certain point and then for some reason, parts of the row aren't coloured how they should be? Further down the data set, the cells become less attached to the conditional highlighting rules. Is there something about conditional highlighting where it only works up until a certain amount of data is covered?

Hi Jay,

It will help us to help you if your screen shot of the table includes Column letters and Row numbers.

I am intrigued by your screen shot starting at (I am guessing) Row 101. That seems to be an Excel approach (a huge "ocean" of cells with small "Islands" of date dotted here and there). Numbers uses several tables on a Sheet ("canvas"), each table with a purpose. I do not understand the purpose of your Rows 1 to 100.

I am guessing that you have hidden some columns.

We will know only if you post a screen shot showing Column letters and Row Numbers.

Happy to help further,

Regards,

Ian.

It's hard to see from this screenshot what's not working.

For example, which cells are you highlighting right now? What color is it? what color do you expect it to be (I have no idea which cells are working correctly or not, nor what the values in the comparison cells are to be able to guess at what you expect this table to look like).

At first glance, all the values in the same category seem to be colored the same (e.g. all 'Entertainment' is purple, Clothing is green, etc.), so I don't know where I should be looking.

Can you point to a specific row/cell in your table that isn't working as you expect?
