People and Pets has gone wonky

My husband was next to me in “People and Pets” all of a sudden he’s gone. He’s in the Library but not in “People and Pets”. It’s the same on my iPad Pro. IOS18.2.1

Now you'e done it! I was trying to see how you'd make someone disappear. I went to my People folder, picked my Great Aunt Altha's album, did a long press on her face,

and chose "Hide Altha" (This has nothing to do with the "Hidden" view, by the way.)

After an "are you sure," her Altha Album disappeared from People & Pets! And I couldn't figure out how to get her back!

I still can't. On my Mac, I did a search for Altha (she still had her face identified,) and double clicked on her little face icon. I got her album (which exists, apparently, just not in the People folder,) and this menu:

which allowed me to return Aunt Altha to the People folder.

But I can't figure out how to do the return trick on the iPhone. I can do the same steps, find Altha, get a menu, but it doesn't have "Add Altha." Hmph.

Is your husband still identified in pictures on your phone ? If so, he's returnable. I'll keep looking…

I didn’t touch his face though, it was the oddest thing. I had scrolled down to “people and pets” and my husband was next to me, then all of a sudden his picture just disappeared. I was shocked but then thought I’ll just scroll down in “people and pets” and find him again. Nope, he was in the library but not in “people and pets”.

In the library he was identified.

My next thought was, okay restart usually works magic so I restarted my pad.

After that, there he was in “people and pets” albeit the bottom of the page but at least in there. Oops, now he’s moved to the center of the grouping. So odd, he’s still not there on my phone. Restarting my phone now. He’s back in my phone.

Yay!

Have you tried restarting, maybe that will work for you!
