iPhone sending text to wrong number

I am having the exact same issue! I tried to update the phone, delete his contact, and restart the phone. When he texts me back it says it's from his iPhone even if he is using his android or it will say we are in a chat with his work phone. It doesn't show blue messages, so I do not even realize it's going to the wrong phone. I have tried selecting his personal # specifically and it still goes to his work phone. He even has a different email for his work phone etc. This is extremely frustrating.

Having the exact same issue. Wife has an Iphone 16 plus, I have a Samsung Galaxy 24 ultra and an Iphone 15 for work. I texted her once from my work phone and now all her text go to that phone. I have deleted contact, I have made a new Samsung account so its different email than my apple account. Very frustrating!

Is there any resolution? Every time I text my wife’s iPhone it flips to her business landline. I’ve deleted her contact info and ensured that her cell number is mapped to iPhone in her contact info. No joy! When I type in her iPhone and send a message, it tries (and fails, of course) to send it to the work number. No idea where it’s getting that.
