Unfavourited songs re-appearing on Apple Music

Last night I manually unfavourited the hundreds of songs on my favourite songs list as they are no longer relevant (I haven't used apple music in a while). I did this using the web version of apple music as I do not have a mac, and this was easier/faster than doing it on my phone. Last night they had shown as also removed from apple music on my phone, but this morning they are back. They are also showing in the favourite songs list on the web version, but are not showing as favourited. What is going on?!?
