How can I remove unwanted line feeds in Word for MacBook Air

For reasons unknown, my document in WORD FOR MAC has line feeds in the document which pushes the text to the right by at lease 0.5. Can't find a way to remove these line feeds (ascii 10) from document.

It's easier to show than to describe. Getting to Microsoft for help is a joke.

I don't think it the Line Feed causing the problem, but it may be a symptom.

To me it looks like some type of formatting has been invoked. I would suggest looking at some type of paragraph based formatting. It is possible to have the first line in a paragraph be at the left and all subsequent lines indented beneath it instead of the other way around. Or maybe something related to bullet point/numbered line indentations such as you can get with this forum's editing toolbar.

I don't get along with Word so I cannot be more specific. Whenever I have a problem with Word or Excel, I just give up and go to using LibreOffice where I'm usually able to figure things out much more quickly.

Ok, I got a bit curious. Go to Format --> Paragraph... then select the Indents and Spacing tab. In the Indentation section, see if Hanging by 0.5" is selected next to Special.
