Consistantly getting a lower measurement of resting heart rate compared to ecg rate. why is ecg rate much higher?

current heart rate will usually be higher than the day's lowest resting, unless you just happen to be taking ecg whilst at the day's slowest rate while on your sofa in front of the TV.
