So, I posted the above question because I was frustrated with the number of times it’s been asked here. Voice dictation is a really necessary feature for some people. Luckily, Reddit had a fix that’s worked for me: Under General > Keyboard, turn auto-capitalization and auto-correction off, then reboot the phone and turn them back on again. Worked for me, hope it will work for you too.
