Cannot Add Multiple Face Names To A Photo on MacBook Air.

Manually added face circles appear on top of each other for a photo with multiple faces. There is no way to move or resize them. They are just stacked and although I have added names as the circles were entered, they are not recognized by the app.

This has always worked correctly until now. Any help appreciated!

You may need to click on the picture before trying to move the little circles-- with multiple windows on the screen at once, Photos may not know which window you're indicating. This happens from time to time. Sometimes Photos gets so confused that you need to close the app and re-open it. This happens every once in a while.

If Photos won't close, then it's really confused, and you should go to the little apple in the upper left of the screen and choose Force Quit. This is pretty rare.

If all that fails, restart the Mac.

Let us know how it goes…

I have to restart Photos from time to time, (and other apps, too) but it's not enough to be disturbing. If this happens to you often, then try re-building your Photos Library. Close Photos and re-launch by "option-command-clicking" the Photos app icon. You may need to click on it again to bring the Photos window to the front. Then choose Repair.  It may take a few minutes.
