Compatibility between iPhone and iPad

So i have an iPhone 13 mini and i just got an iPad 6 generation for free. As some of you might know, generation 6 is discontinued. Now to my problem, so my iPhone is iOS 18.1.1 and my new iPad is on iOS 17.7.3. So When i Tried to use the backup from my iPhone to my new iPad it says that i cant use the backup because the iOS is not compatible. Is there any other Way to transfer apps and appdata from iPhone to iPad?

Transfer app data? No.

Transfer apps? Well, apps don't transfer between Apple devices. Apps are downloaded to the new device from the App Store. So you may do that manually if you wish. (App placement is transferred from your old device, but that option is not available in your case.)

Bear in mind the sixth generation iPad was released by Apple nearly seven years ago.
