How do I sync iPhone contacts from SIM to iCloud?

My iPhone contacts didn’t sync. I figured out they were stored on the sim. If you go into contacts under settings and scroll down to the bottom, click on import contacts, and click on import contacts to iCloud and all missing contacts should appear. Hope it helps.

What is your default Contacts account? Make iCloud your default Contacts Account. See the pic below

Then tap "import SIM Contacts".

Unlike some Android devices, contacts are neither stored locally on an iPhone nor in SIM. They are synced to an email account that you have Google, iCloud, AOL, Exchange, Outlook, Yahoo or any Other
