Can't update Apple ID Settings

My Mac's System Settings tells me I need to update Apple ID Settings. When I get to "Enter the passcode you use to unlock your iPhone..." I get "Incorrect passcode". I know it is correct and I have verified that it is correct. How do I fix this mess?
