Unable to add debit or credit card to Wallet

Hello, I tried add a debit card and credit card, and then shows "Card Not Added, Contact your card issuer for more information". The issuer response, contact Apple Support.

Can you help me or give me some instructions please?

Make sure you are in a supported region, as Apple Pay is not available in all markets.

Countries and regions that support Apple Pay - Apple Support


Ensure that your card issuer and bank support Apple Pay. Below is a list of Apple Pay participating banks in different regions.

Canada, Latin America, and the United States

Africa, Europe, and the Middle East

Asia-Pacific


Make sure your region is set correctly.

Change the language and region on iPhone - Apple Support

Change your Apple ID country or region

You might want to start by checking your region: ▷ Open Settings ➢ General ➢ Language & Region ➢ Region.


Now, here’s the fully detailed procedure to adding a card:⇣


Try the following:

  • Be sure to activate your card before attempting to add it to Apple Wallet.
  • Be sure card has not expired.
  • Be sure to verify all information on the card matches exactly.


Apple Pay Support


If none of those work, then try linking the payment method:


Open Settings ➢ your name at the top of the list ➢ Payment & ShippingAdd Payment Method.


Once the payment method has been added, you should have the option to link it to Apple Pay.
