Averaging in numbers from a row onwards

Is there a way to take the average from a column "AVERAGE(A)" but with a specific starting point without an end point like "AVERAGE(A22:A)"

The goal is to take the average as I add rows from a specific point onwards. I'd like to not have to change the formula each time I add a row to my table.

Thank you!

Hi legittree,

The function AVERAGEIF is your friend.

Formula in Footer cell A11 is AVERAGEIF(B,">"&A$1,A)

Data in Column A.

Column B has the formula =ROW()

In A1 enter a value for the row after which to calculate the average.

Ian.
