How can I remove malware from my Mac?
I am new to Mac, but I think I have malware, and I am unsure what to do. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Ridding of Malware on a Mac:
What makes you so suspicious of this?
Keep Security Software off of your Apple Devices.
Uninstall any Security Software you've installed on your Mac, using the corrected Uninstaller. Get download the Uninstaller directly from the Developer, and nowhere else. Security Software just get in the way on an Apple Device, and reading the forums over the years, you'll find plenty of examples of how and why.
So, Use Malwarebytes for Mac:
Malwarebytes searches for malware (short for malicious software) and spyware. Malware makes your Mac behave in a mislead manor. Malwarebytes is created by longtime users of these forums, making it the only reliable Security Software for a Mac. Remove what is found from the quarantine.

It contains a description of the problem, how it came to be, and includes instructions for fixing it. If you need help with that please post the three screenshots it describes in a reply to this Discussion. All three.
Describe the reasons for thinking you have malware.
Do not download or install anything.
I may have downloaded something or visited the wrong site on Facebook. When I click on a link, oftentimes, I'm redirected to a sales gimmick or a site trying to get my credit card number. Some of it can be very deceiving.
I once had tired to help someone with the same problem that they had been facing some time ago. When I had recommended them anti-malware software (3rd Party) like Malwarebytes the comment had been deleted because suggesting 3rd party application.
