I just bought an unlocked iphone 15. I am only using it for the camera. Before i loaded any information on it, at all, it started heating up. I can't believe this is normal?! What to do?

Is this a brand new, purchased directly from Apple, or a previously owned?
Did you just set it up from the Hello screen? If so there are setup processes that can run for a day or two, and will generate some heat.
Were you charging it when it got warm?
Were you using the camera when it got warm?
Either will result in the phone getting warmer.
