Cut data in cell

Hello dear community,

I'm pretty sure that others asked the same question, but couldn't find the answer:

I got an xml sheet made in excel with important data (eg. book titles, sku nr etc.) , 4 columns, 3000+ rows.

In my text-only column when I open the xml in Numbers app, some parts of the texts are randomly missing.

When opened in ms excel, the data seems to be ok.

Is there any reason/ solution to this issue?

See the example below excel vs numbers:

As you can see there's no any logic based on the length of the text or size of the cell, size of text, format of text, etc. This happens on my MacAir 2020 M1, and iPad Air as well

Thank you in advance for any help or hint.

To the best of my knowledge, Numbers does not open XML files. If you open it in TextEdit is it actually an XML file? Can you copy/paste part of the file opened in TextEdit? Copy/paste a part that includes at least the lines that is not making it through correctly. Paste it here as text, not an image. I don't know if that will help us figure it out or not but it is worth a try. It may depend on whether this forum pastes it in correctly or if it modifies any "unusual" characters.

Oh snap, turns out, I've mistakenly wrote XML.. It is XLS, sorry, my bad and thank you for trying to give an advice.

Opened in TextEdit it seems to be only a bunch of random special characters, I assume because of character coding. (?)

Strange thing, I can't find any entries from the above list in the text file, but when I open it again in MS Excel the list is full.

Seemingly no issue with the characters (Hungarian text with Hungarian characters, no issue if I type it directly to the Numbers app.
