iOS 18 issues with Intune - Guided Access App Unavailable

We're instigating intune managed apps on a few of our devices because we're using Apple Business managed user accounts, and testing on an iPhone running iOS 16 had no issues. But once we started rolling it out to iPads on iOS 18, we found the "Guided Access App Unavailable" error on every device, it locks the device up and requires a hard restart, but then after a few seconds the error pops up once again.

It worked on the iOS 16 device, until I updated that to 18 as well and then it also started having the same issue.

Has anyone found a fix for this issue? The Volume Token was just setup and we know it's working as intended as seen on the iOS 16 device, I'm wondering if something broke with 18?

I don't know if you solved this, or if the cause for your problems are the same, but this is how I did.

Because the phone was pre-enrolled I could Wipe it. At first it didn't work, but the next morning the device was clean for setup. I also created a new enrollment profile and assigned the phone, the day before. The reason was that someone figured out that old profiles didn't work out with ios 18.x. There might be a new setting that blocks the process and thus the enrollment. So after new enrollment the phone was OK and had used the new profile.

I think it is the anti-theft-feature that is the culprit. So a new life cycle step is to create new enrollment profiles when new major versions roll out.
