How to prevent losing documents in Numbers on MacBook Air?

Since I have a new MacBook Air, version 15.2, I loose documents in Numbers. Sometimes a Numbers document can not be closed. Later it's not found in the map or I can not reopen this, because the computer tells me that it's unreadable.

Can somebody help me to prevent loosing more documents.

Documents will not save to my MacBook Pro macOS Monterey 2021 When I select save the box comes up and the 'save as' option has a name in it and it will allow you to type in a new name and the Cancel button at the bottom is in black font and the save button right next to it is in a grayscale color and totally inaccessible. So you cannot opt to save it and when you hit the cancel button to exit, nothing happens. The only way to get out is to hit the escape button and the screen goes back to the document you are attempting to save. It will not save as or save. It just sits frozen :(

Pages for Mac No Longer Displaying Recent Docs Hi there. I'm running MacOS Sequoia 15.0.1 and Pages 14.2, and noticed a minor--but annoying--change in behavior. Since switching to Mac, when I CTRL-click on the Pages icon, I was shown a list of my ten or so most recently modified documents. In the last two weeks, I've noticed that list was shrinking. Today it's nonexistent. This isn't a huge issue, but I work on multiple documents within a week, and having quick access just made Pages work smoother. Has anyone else experienced this? Thank you!
