How Do I Uncancel an Event on my iCal Calendar

All of a sudden an event on my calendar showed with a line through it - meaning it is canceled. And I have an alert that shows it is cancelled - my only choice is to click "ok" or ignore it. I did not cancel the event and would like to know how to uncancel it.

Calendar events are changed to 'Cancelled' when the creator of the event removes it from their calendar. This designation is transmitted to all those invited to that event.

The person inviting you is the controller of the event. As you do not "own" the event you cannot change the status of it from cancelled.

Also, because it has been cancelled by the organiser might there be a slim chance that there is no event to attend?

OK, I have an event that was added by suggestion from Siri. It has not been canceled but suddenly it is showing that in the Calendar app (iOS and macOS). Bought 6 tickets. Transferred two to someone else who will be showing up separately. That caused the event to be canceled by suggestion from Siri. Siri is wrong. How do you tell Siri that it is wrong and that the event was not canceled. Still going to the game. These are Apple products. I shouldn't have to work this hard to keep things accurate.
