Why does my MacBook microphone switch to Bluetooth audio?

Everytime I use a bluetooth audio device, my microphone becomes the bluetooth audio, output format is still 16kHz, even if I specifically selected Macbook microphone as input.

MacBook Air M1 2020 running Ventura 13.4.1 I've tested wired audio without any problems I've used multiple bluetooth audio devices (AirPods Pro; Bose bluetooth speaker) successfully with my other devices without any problems Bluetooth audio devices have intermittent choppy/stuttering for ~1 sec every 30 sec-5 mins.
