How do I convert a date-formatted calculation result to a number in Numbers?

Precise task.

Cell A1 contains a calculation that counts the remaining days. Numbers formats this as a date. The formula in A1 is:


DATE(2025;3;17)−NOW()

The result of this calculation, which is 20 today, should be used as a multiplier in another formula like this:

=A1 * 20000

However, the result currently appears as 400000 days instead of the expected 400000 Ft.

I can not change the cell format from date to number or currancy. Is tehe any solution?

=DUR2DAYS(DATE(2025,3,17)−NOW())

NOW includes the time so this won't be an even number of days except at precisely 12:00AM. NOW will update whenever you make a change to the spreadsheet.

TODAY is just the date. The time will be 12:00AM. This function also updates whenever you make a change to the spreadsheet (all formulas and functions do) but the result will be the same for the entire day.
