How can I remove item numbering from my list in Numbers app?

I imported a list into Numbers from Notes and I cannot get rid of the numbers before each item

If the leading numbers have come in as part of the text and you need to remove them, you can add an adjacent column with a formula like this;




In C2 of the example, filled down:


=TEXTAFTER(B2,". ")


Then remove the formulas from the column by selecting the cells, command-c, followed by Edit > Paste Formula Results.


Use ; instead of , in the formula if your region uses , as the decimal separator.

Hello jdmoregon,


Enter the content of one cell (so that you can see the cursor) and select "None" in the Text format for Bullets & Lists.


You may have to repeat that for each cell, one by one. In my test, only the first cell had that format Numbered format; the other cells just had a numbers I could delete straight in the cell.
