How to find comparable apps for MacBook Air from iPhone and iPad?

I just bought a new MacBook Air. I’m so disappointed, I can’t find the apps I’m used to using everyday on my iPhone and iPad and I’ve tried to at least find a comparable facsimile, but to no avail. All this money I spent and I still use my iPad. Can we at least get a cross reference type of thing?

GroupText is an iPhone/iPad app but it can be run on a Mac computer that has Apple Silicon (Apple M1 or later). It cannot be run on older Macs which have Intel chips. What is the model year of your Mac (available at Apple menu > About This Mac)? If your Mac has an M1 or later chip and you search the Mac App Store for group text, it will find it and you can download it with the Get button there. Yelp only makes apps for iPhones, iPads, and Androids. On a Mac you can access Yelp via an internet browser (e.g., Safari).

YouVersion only makes apps for iPhones, iPads, and Androids. They don't appear to have any option to access via any Mac or Windows computer. See: https://blog.youversion.com/2021/05/download-the-bible-app-youversion/

The Dashlane app is available in the Mac App Store and is compatible with any Mac running g macOS 14 or later.

Many app developers make apps for iPhones, iPads, and Android devices but not for Mac or Windows computers. In most cases the equivalent functionality is available using an internet browser and going to a website.

If you want to reply with a few examples of the apps (exact name of the apps) that you are looking for, someone here may be able to help better.

The Apps I use everyday are: GroupText, to send our group texts individually; Yelp - user sourced App that recommends restaurants etc; the Bible App by YouVersion and other Bible Apps. I write biblical devotions each day, ilI write 4 Bible studies a week for various ages. I need the convenience of these apps. I use Dashlane password generator also. These are just to mention a few.
