"Allow notifications from iPhone" Keeps turning off

I'm on Mac OS 15.3.1 on a new M4 Mac Mini.

Basically whenever I turn on allow notifications from iphone in settings, and then close settings and reopen it, the setting is turned back off and I don't get any iPhone notifications on my Mac. Does anyone know why this might be?

I’ve contacted Apple Support multiple times because the ‘Mirror iPhone notifications’ setting kept turning off on its own. The temporary fix they suggested was to create a new user account on the Mac and move all your files over. However, I believe Apple may have fixed the issue — I haven’t needed to create a new user in a while, and the ‘Mirror iPhone notifications’ setting has stayed on without turning off.
