Why does my iPhone keep disconnecting from hearing aids?

My iPhone 12 Pro randomly disconnects from hearing aids KS-10 (Phonak) and fails to pair again for many attempts. Has gotten much worse since last update (iOS 18.3.1). My audiologist tells me this wide spread issue with iPhones. Is Apple aware and is problem being addressed?

Hearing aids disconnect since IOS 17.0.3 update I updated to IOS 17.0.3 yesterday and now I can not get my Iphone 14 to remain connected to my hearing aids, the minute I close the settings screen or the screen saver kicks in the hearing aids disconnect, which is extremely bloody annoying in the middle of a conversation. I tried turning off Bluetooth and disabling bluetooth in privacy & Security, then truned off the phone for a minute. I then restarted the phone, turned on Bluetooth and renabled bluetooth in privacy & settings, then reconnected the hearing aids without a problem, then I closed the Settings Screen and hey presto the hearing aids disconnected again, I also tested it by allowing the screen saver to initiate. This has only been happening since I upgraded yesterday 8 Oct 2023, I only got the hearing aids on Monday.

It sounds more like Phonak has not upgraded their product to be compatible with Apple's latest iOS. It is up to Phonak to make things compatible. Apple has no control over third party products. One thing I can suggest is this - if you are using a Phonak app, try updating it.
