iPhone switching from a podcast to music?
Today I was listening to a podcast—the Intego Mac Podcast #387—on my iPhone 13. I received an email reminding me the podcast was going today, and clicked on the link in my email. I clicked on the "Listen to the podcast" link below, not the hyperlink below it—but was still taken to the podcast online, on Safari.
About two-thirds the way through the podcast, I had to answer the doorbell, so I hit the pause button on the online podcast. After returning to the iPhone, I hit the play button. But instead of getting the podcast, I started hearing music, which was a song from an album by the Dave Matthews band.
I'm thinking, what? So I tried it all over again from scratch, starting with the podcast. This time after hitting the pause button, I immediately hit the play button. But the same thing happened, this time getting a different song by the Dave Matthews band, but the same album.
I don't have any Dave Matthews music on my Apple Music library, which is synced across all my devices.
Does anybody have an explanation for this kind of behaviour? I have an iPhone 13 running iOS 18.3.1, and an iMac (M1) running macOS 15.3.2 Sequoia.
