Can I transfer my iTunes library with ripped CDs and iTunes Store purchases to Apple Music and sync it with my iPod classics?

I use iTunes to sync with my 2ipod classics. My library contains hundreds of ripped cd’s as well as iTunes Store purchases.

With iTunes being discontinued is it possible to transfer such a library to the Apple Music and can u sync it with my iPod?

There are two separate products called Apple Music:

    1. the subscription service. For a monthly fee you get access to Apple's vast library of music. Note though, that music from Apple Music (the subscription service) cannot be added to an iPod Classic
    2. the app (which together with Apple Devices and Apple TV) is not yet a suitable replacement for iTunes

The first one (the monthly subscription service) is obviously of no use to you with your iPod Classics. The second one (the app) does not (as yet) allow managing your music on an iPod. I don't know whether Apple are intending to address this issue or not (no one here knows that).

Note also that iTunes is still in use on Windows PCs and on older Macs. If you use a newer Mac, using OS Catalina or later, you use Finder to manage you iPod as a replacement for iTunes.
