iPod touch 7th gen Model A2178 memory
Why is this so difficult?!
I am trying to find out the memory of my iPod Touch. Is it 32, 64, 128, or 256GB

On the iPod, go to Settings/General/About>Capacity, where you will find the capacity of that iPod.
Alternatively, with the iPod connected to iTunes on a computer, look on the Device/Summary pane, where you will see a panel named iPod touch. In there is the capacity of the iPod, but note that the figure shown will be slightly lower than that shown on the iPod itself.
Don't worry about the fact that it's different, it's simply the very odd way in which storage capacity is measured. What you need to know is that the figure shown on the iPod will be the 32, 128 or 256GB capacity that you are asking about. (I don't believe the 7th gen Touch was available in 64GB capacity.) The lower figure shown in iTunes is the amount of storage actually available for use.
