Numbers and Files Widgets

I see that Microsoft have brought out Widgets for MacOS to show the most recent Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, etc.

I can’t see a way to do the same for numbers spreadsheets or for Pages documents.

Likewise for recent files.

Am I missing something? Or is there a way to show them?

Can Numbers menu option for Recent Files be changed? So this is not the most pressing problem in the world today, but it has been bothering me for a long time. Please see the screenshot below - note when Numbers is started, (by default) a user can see as many as the last ten files opened in the Open Recent section of the menu. (The blue block is to obscure file names only and does not actually appear on the screen...) Question: I would like to increase the number of files shown in the Open Recent section of the Numbers menu to 15 or 20 - how can I do that (or can this be done)? Thanks for any ideas on this!

"Recent Places" in finder no longer visible when saving a file I am running an iMac with OS 15.1.1. When saving files, I used to be able to see a list of "Recent Places" folders in the drop down menu when saving files in the finder window (location). Recently the "Recent Places" list has just vanished. I'm not sure if this occurred due to an update. I used this feature constantly to quickly save files to a recently saved folder. Does anyone know how to control this or get it back? Thank you.

Recent files not showing In Pages, Keynote, Numbers, Text Edit, and Preview I am on Monterey 12.6. When I open applications On my Macbook Air and Mac Studio, my recently used files are not showing in Pages, Keynote, Numbers, Text Edit, and Preview. I don't sync these applications to iCloud and don't want to. I work on files on my computer. Is there a setting I can update to see recently used files in these apps?

Don't have experience with the MS widgets.

In both Numbers and Pages you can of course always go to File > Open Recent in the menu.

If you have the Numbers (or Pages) icon in the Dock then you can also right-click (control-click) the icon to see the recent documents.
