Meeting Invite Acceptance Sends Multiple Responses When Using Apple Watch

The last two meeting invites I have accepted via my Apple Watch have sent dozens of responses to the meeting organizer. It seems like when the meeting is a recurring meeting, it will send an individual response for every occurrence. When you have a weekly meeting with your manager, it will send a response for every week's meeting. This is an annoyance and what I believe is a flaw that should be addressed. Has anyone else experienced this?
