My iPad keeps making the charging sound when it’s not plugged in..

I had accidentally gotten a tiny bit of water on it, and from the looks of it none got inside of the charging hole, and now..it keeps making the sound when it’s not plugged in and it’s at 100 percent!! And it keeps stopping then continuing as I’m trying to watch videos, do I let it dry out? Or what do I do? Please tell me any tips! It’s an iPad Pro (9.7-inch) fully up to date and everything no problems at all! Until now..😔
