Logitech MX Master 2S mouse not recognized

I have a 2017 era iMac 27" Retina with 3.4 GHz Intel Core i5 processor, 64 GB ram, Radeon Pro 570 4 GB graphics. I have been keeping it running with Mojave 10.14.6 because I wanted to run Adobe CS6 Suite and its worked fine. For the past 4-5 years I've been using the Logitech MX Master 2S mouse without a hitch. Recently I decided that I wanted to set up a dual boot with a more up to date OS so I added a external 1TB SSD and set it up with Ventura. When I first set it up, it didn't automatically see the Logitech mouse so I used an Apple wired mouse model A1152 to do the post boot setup. So for some strange reason, neither OS will recognize the Logitech mouse and I really do prefer it over the Apple mouse. I tried downloading an older version of Logitech's unified software but that didn't seem to work as it was looking for a newer OS.

So I can't understand why the Logitech worked with Mojave a week ago, but now it won't. And I don't know why when I run Ventura it won't work in that OS either. Can anyone clue me in on how to get this set up correctly? I want to be able to switch back and forth between OS versions, but if I have to reboot, will a menu come up asking which OS I want to use?

Thanks in advance for helping old non techie.-Mike

Certain misconceptions persist regarding the relationship between Apple Computers and third-party devices, applications, extensions, services, and accessories.

These misconceptions often arise when third-party products fail to function or meet user expectations.

Apple is responsible for addressing issues with its own services, applications, operating systems, and accessories.

However, Apple cannot rectify user choices of third-party products  installed and used on their computers.

This responsibility lies solely with the third party to evaluate the performance of their products when used on an Apple Computer running the intended version of macOS.
