Ipad photos are way too small to see after 18 update to ipad

I have researched some of the answers to this question. For me, I get all the way to the "Zoom in" choice and can see five photos per line, BUT I lose the images on either side of the 5 I can see. How do I fix this? I really do not like this 18 update: I lost my clock for 24 hours - I need it for the alarm - DUH. It's pretty presumptuous to just change anything you like on my phone..... please help me be able to see all my photos in the Library at a size I can actually see.
