Why is Do Not Disturb feature not working on my iPhone 16 Plus?

in the past, up until today, I’ve had to keep my iPhone on Do Not Disturb to keep the enormous amount of phone calls and emails and texts I get every freaking day. But now for some reason that no longer works. As of 4:00 today I’ve had over 70 spam calls and the vast majority come from the same area code. What can be done to rectify this problem? Any ideas?
