Avoiding Misdialing:
A. Use an OtterBox.
With an otter box, then back and front of the iPhone are covered. The top pops on and off, and when on, you'd just not going to tap anything in your pockets. Been using one for years, and play to keep doing so.
B. Moving Call to a Call Log:
You Cant. This is not built in to the iOS, though there might be a few tried-party apps for this, likely to be an Accessibility app. So, look at the reviews, and see if the app helps with this. App Store - Apple. The home screen turns up, when you open the Phone app. Tap it, and it calls. It cannot be delated, as it would be an inconvenience. So, I recommend you leave feedback to Apple on this, letting them know the issue.
Do your Part: Provide Apple with feedback on this, letting them know about this issue. Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is occurring, and what bug fixes to include in updates to come. Apple will know nothing of you occurrences, if you don't report it to them.
