Paid to a Scam

I purchased 2 items on Friday for $160.00 that transaction went smooth. Then the Vendor sent me a message saying he needs an additional $46.17 for postage due to distance and weight. He lives in Arkansas I live in Texas the weight was less that 2 pounds. I've shipped ebay items for years never paying and where over $20.00. Now the Vendor will not answer any of my messages and his facebook has been restricted . Any chance of getting my money back ? If so how ?

Texas thanks

Note: He said he only uses Applepay... Dummy me signed up for it to send the money to him

One option to check: https://www.facebook.com/help/228307904608701/

Edit -- although that does not cover peer-to-peer payment methods so if you sent money using Apple Cash, that won't help.

Also see the following from Send and receive money with Apple Cash - Apple Support

Apple Cash person-to-person payments are like any other private transaction between two people, so only send and receive money with people you know.

Apple Cash, like Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, Zelle and multiple other financial services of P2P transfers. These are intended only for transfer of funds between family and friends. Why? Because, literally you’ve handed someone cash, as the name Apple Cash implies.

All the P2P transfer services specifically state that they are not to be used for commercial purposes. No legitimate business will ask or insist on payment via a P2P transaction.
