Pages "Choose an item to collaborate" banner will not disappear

I have been using my Macbook Pro M4 14" for a bit over a month now and have for the second time run into this extremely frustrating problem: When I have Pages open at some point a banner saying "Choose an Item - to Collaborate" pops up and will not disappear. There is no "X" button, there is no way of swiping it away, closing Pages does nothing, closing everything else doesn't help. This banner is always there, getting in the way and the only fix was completely shutting down my Mac. Why does an almost 2k machine with a great chip that for some reason now even have AI still have such a simple yet frustrating bug?

Both times this happened I wasn't running anything intense but was in a FaceTime call and hadn't turned down the device over night so maybe that had something to do with it?

See photo attached for a closer look at the banner. Also, is there a way to turn off the option for collaborating on a Pages document? I am certain I will never use this feature and would be content never seeing this notification ever again.

This is neither the operating system nor is it Pages v14.3 causing this notification. There is nothing in Pages to disable collaboration as it is an invitation caused by your clicking a link on an iCloud-shared Pages document that someone else has offered to share (collaborate) with you. I have my System Settings > Apple Intelligence & Sir turned off…

I would be more concerned about the application whose B logo is behind the Pages icon on that faux notification. A proper operating system Notification would present a clickable x⃝ in the upper-left corner when you pass a pointer over it. Otherwise, you might consider pressing the Esc key to see if that dismisses it. I would also look in System Settings > Notifications to see if there is a circle B application listed there for which you can set it to None.

There isn't sufficient information in your post to know what specifically caused that floating "Choose an Item to Collaborate" panel as it is not a standard Apple panel.

Thanks for the insightful answer. I'm pretty sure now this has something to do with FaceTime as this window only pops up when I open Pages while in a FT call and the contact that I was calling also appears under "B" in messages and FT (as an abbreviation where you could have a profile picture/the circle thingy). When I close the call, I can get rid of the notification by pressing esc but not as long as I am in the call. Sometimes it quickly disappears on its own but other times it will just stay indefinitely. I have never been invited to collaborate on a pages document and neither have I invited anybody else.
