When you enter the code, look to see if you are in the alpha keyboard or numeric. That should tell you what is being entered. If you can, change the passcode, using other numbers, not 0 or O.

On a side note, even if you are in the alpha keyboard, it would have to be in upper case mode. Otherwise the "o" would look much smaller than the numbers. For example: 45o7 (lower case "o") - 45O7 (upper case "O") - 4507 (the number "0" which is narrower than the upper case O.)

Did you try to use the keyboard on your iPhone?

Make sure that on your iPhone in Settings/Notifications/Apple Watch keyboard is enabled.

Then bring your iPhone near the Apple Watch. When the watch asks for the Apple ID password, you should get a message on your iPhone, asking, if you want to use the iOS keyboard to type the password and send it to the Apple Watch.
