Why is 1xzoom blurry and dark in Portrait mode on iPhone?

My iPhone 1x zoom on portrait mode doesn’t work it just turns blurry and goes dark but when put on 3x zoom it works. I have updated to the latest IOS, I have done all resets options and it still isn’t working why? What else can I do? Blurry view on 1x zoom in portrait mode
