Voice to Text. Microphone sticking on/off

I have a problem that’s replicated on both an iPhone 15 Pro Max and an iPhone 16 Pro Max using the same Apple account. When I use the keyboard microphone icon to use voice to text (which you do in a great many applications) sometimes it’s not responsive and often it freezes so that I cannot turn the microphone off again. I see it, especially when sending text messages. The other thing I’ve noticed is I’m not getting the correct audio sound that should correspond with the action so sometimes I’m getting a more stereo sound rather than the simple quiet little ding. It’s not continuous.

I’m also having issues with my CarPlay and just a lot of other sporadic little things such as I pay for music and it’s not playing back. So I’m hitting the play button. It appears to be playing. There’s no audio anywhere at all. I’m having problems with my Find My (an item that cannot be removed). At one point Safari didn’t know what language I used on Apple Support and was giving me everything in Spanish. When using the search in the Mail app, I’m having overlapping text on the screen and it’s unresponsive. I don’t always have sound on phone calls (for example I’m wearing AirPod pros but the sound is going nowhere). I’m also dropping one in every five phone calls, but all problem-solving steps with cellular have failed.

The worst problem is the text to dictation and the fact that it’s just sporadic actually makes it even harder. I’m just including this other information in case somehow these things are related.

I have contacted Apple Support in the last five months probably 50 times I’m really super annoyed. That’s why I bought the whole new phone was trying to fix this problem. I have changed my settings. I have of course made sure it’s updated. I can restart the phone or force quit the apps and that corrects the issues temporarily. Yes, this has been going on for five months. All they have to offer me having run all these diagnostics and such is that it’s escalated to engineering, but they have no timeline and engineering has no response anymore.

I don’t suppose anybody else has this experience, but does anyone have any ideas?
