Adding a specific email address for a person with several to a Contact List
Hi all,
I have an issue with editing an existing contact list (aka group). I have several contacts who have more than one email address (e.g. work, home, other). I’m sure many of you can relate.
I use a Mac Mini, an IPad (with attached keyboard) and an iPhone. My preference would be to use the iPad as that is me often and is nice to use for most things.
I want to be able to add a specific email address from that selection for a new member of the list or change from one to the other for an existing member as things change over time. An example would be to switch from their work account to a home account for privacy reasons or a change in their company policy that now forbids using work accounts for personal use.
What I don’t want to do:
I am trying to avoid creating a separate contact for the same person just to guarantee that the correct address has been picked. I have now done it once but it’s a crazy and inefficient workaround.
I also am NOT interested in having to tap and hold the recipient’s name in the “To” field in order to change the email address on the fly. That would defeat the whole purpose of a contact list or group.
Finally, I don’t want to have to rebuild the list from scratch each time a contact updates his or her preferred email address.
Any ideas?
