Adding A Second Bank Account To Apple Pay
There’s another thread that I’m no longer able to reply to since apparently it’s too old. It’s called: “Can I have 2 bank accounts in my wallet? I need to be able to transfer money to both“. I wanted to get the solution out there since there seems to be others who were also looking for answers.
The reason why people like me need this is because my bank currently doesn’t have Zelle in order to seamlessly transfer money from one bank to another (I don’t want to wait 3-5 business days using ACH). So that’s when I wondered if there was an option to add a second bank option to Apple Pay in order to quickly transfer money from Bank A to Apple Pay to Bank B. However, as this old thread stated through previous responses, there’s no way to add a second bank account to your Apple Pay.
Solution: When sending funds, go through the process and make sure to choose Instant Transfer (the bank account listed doesn’t matter - ignore it!!). A prompt will come up to confirm the transfer. There is an option to CHANGE PAYMENT METHOD. Assuming you already added both debit cards from both Bank A and Bank B, you can change the debit card where you want to send the money from your Apple Wallet. THIS is why you don’t NEED to add a second bank account. Because you’re actually just sending it to a debit card, not a bank account. You can just change what debit card you want to transfer the money to. Meaning you have instant transfer capabilities to multiple bank accounts as long as you have a connected debit card inside your Apple Pay.
Hope this helps someone!
