In Pages & Keynotes, how to paste without formatting by default

Cmd+Shift+Opt+V breaks my wrist, and I need to paste without formatting all the time.

How to make it the default behavior ?

Thanks

The Pages application is designed for Paste and Paste and Match Style. Apple has already assigned specific keystroke shortcuts to these Edit menu items. You cannot change the internal Pages application design that listens for those specific keystrokes.

Your options are:

  1. Experiment. Sometimes the two Paste operations do the opposite of what you expect depending on what Pages is reading from the clipboard.
  2. Use the mouse in Pages instead of the keyboard to access these two Paste operations.
  3. Paste into a plain text editor and then copy/paste back into Pages.
  4. Write code to strip the clipboard to plain text, write back to the clipboard, and then just use Paste in Pages.
