Music videos on my iPad have been erased after updating to iOS 18.1

In the morning I was watching a bunch of music videos. Then updated to 18.1 on my iPad and 22 music videos that I purchased from iTunes, were immediately lost and replaced by a gray square that said the content may not be available in my country or region. ?????

  1. I’m in the U.S., my iPad bought from a U.S. retail Apple Store with my U.S. credit card.
  2. Some of the music videos are still available to buy in iTunes, so it’s not that permission was pulled. Yet I’d have to repurchase them again.
  3. They were ‘downloaded’ on my iPad - not streaming or in the cloud.
  4. They were different artists.
  5. After weeks of asking Apple, being put on hold over and over and being transferred from one person to another, they finally said they could see that I had purchased the 22 music videos and could see that I had them on my iPad but didn’t know why they were missing - and unfortunately could only credit me for 5 music videos because that’s their policy.

Can someone explain this to me? I feel I should be reimbursed for all 22 music videos that I purchased because Apple’s update erased them.

Has anyone else had this trouble after update 18.1 ?

Thank you.
