Apple Carplay and Apple Music "Skipping"

When I am driving home, I open a playlist from my Apple Music account and use Apple Carplay to play the songs. After about 15 minutes or so, the music will randomly stop playing for 1-3 seconds and then pick up again. Then it will stop again for a couple of seconds and start where it stopped. It continues to do this but at more frequent intervals. If I switch over to iHeartRadio, the "skipping" stops and it plays continuously. This has only been happening with Apple Music. Listening to my music helps me get through my commute, I need to play consistently and not "stop, start, stop start." So far it is only doing this when I drive home after work in the evenings and not when I drive to work in the mornings. It doesn't start doing this until after about 15 minutes or so. HELP!!!!
