My iphone 12 prm was hacked icloud, my phone was locked by dupe

The Apple Account has been removed on the phone using the personal information from the Account owner and someone talked you or your Mom into signing in with a different one that they control. After that was done, they are able to mark your device as lost since now they effectively own the device. Once a device is placed in Lost Mode, Apple cannot remove the Activation Lock. In fact the only person that can remove the Activation Lock is the person whose account it is locked to.

Sorry, but the device is now useless. You can contact Apple directly, but from the documentation they have provided there is nothing they can do. NEVER enter someone else's Apple Account into your phone.

What do you mean by your iPhone was hacked? Is it that you logged out of your Apple Account by providing your password, and then logged someone else's Apple Account into your device? That does not mean your device is hacked, you were simply scammed and you did that yourself. No matter how many times people are warned about these scams along with the Gift Card scams, Email scams, and fake Support scams, people still fall for them.

Removing an Activation Lock is possible when you are able to provide the original purchase receipt and the device has not been placed in Lost Mode. In most cases this will have to be the receipt from Apple or Authorized Apple Seller as they do not get involved in any third party sales. The reason for that is that even I could create a receipt that would not prove anything.
