Client wants a hyperlink??

I'm editing a video for a client who wants a hyperlink on the screen during the video that's clickable that will take the viewer to a real estate web address. Hope that make's sense. Is that something that is do-able? If the video is to go on you tube for example will the web link have to be in the description ?

Can it be on the screen ? Is that something that Final cut can do ?

Another option is to create a QR code that links to the site your client wants a hyperlink for

Creating QR Codes On Your Mac

and then place the generated QR box on your video. Viewers can use their phones to get to the site.

Here is a different take on the "create QR code": you can easily create a Quick Action, and then all that is needed is to select the text, control-click and run it (or even use a keyboard shortcut - in this example, I used Command-Option-Control-0). I set this to place the QR code in the clipboard, so you can paste it, or make a new file for it using Preview (File->New from Clipboard), but you can change this to save the file somewhere.

As Luis says, you can't add a link in the FCP editor because the video you export is just a collection of pixels.

You can add a link to your YouTube channel profile or in the video description.

You can also display a link card in the top right corner during playback, but this requires that you are a member of the YouTube Partner Program.
