Monitoring with Scarlett 18i20 Logic Pro 11.1.2

When using amp sim plugins I can't seem to bypass the dry signal in the monitors. On the bottom right of the plugin there is an output function which I have positioned fully right but if I turn down the master volume of the plugin the dry signal is still there.

Any help would be appreciated however when responding please keep the response very basic and step by step as I'm an older model and technologically challenged lol

Thank you in advance.

When you open up Logic Pro, make sure your Mac says the word Logic Pro at the top left of your screen.

If it does, then hit the key command "Command+1". Hold the Command Key and then the numeric key 1.

You can also go to File>New. Conversely, go to Window>Open Main Window.

DO NOT GIVE UP. Let's tackle each part. Uninstalling Logic is a breeze. Grab the Logic Pro Application (from the Applications folder) and throw it in the trash. This will not throw your Projects away just the application itself.

When you say Logic Pro freezes up, do you mean that the Logic Pro Window and Logo are stuck? Does it look like this or different?

Once again Eddie you are amazing but I have encountered an entirely different issue which prevents me from trying your suggested solution. On start up Logic won't launch and has simply frozen. I have tried shutting down and restarting but nothing seems to work...I think this program hates me, lol

I can't upload the screen shot as it tells me the image is too large...very frustrated

Eddie Im in all sorts of trouble and about ready to give up. Logic has frozen on my desk top and I can't do anything with it. I have forced shutdown three times but when I reboot logic is still frozen on the desktop.

I was advised to delete the app which I have done but I don't know how to reinstall it and I fear I've lost all my work which will be devastating as it literally represents the legacy I want to leave my family. Don't want to sound too dramatic but this has almost reduced me to tears its that important to me.

Any suggestions?

This is most likely because a third party plug-in is causing this mess. Do you know where your Components Folder is?

MAC/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Componenents

Can you locate that file and take the Au Components files that are in there and move them all to a NEW folder on your Desktop so Logic Pro does not scan them. Let me know how you get on. Thank you.

Take your time. I remember feeling frustrated for many years myself. Take each issue and try and solve one thing at a time. It helps when someone is in the room with you. If you have any friends or resources, ask if they can help to expedite your process.

YOU GOT THIS!!!

I have found the components file but can't find the AU components. Mate The family is waiting for me as we have a bit of a gathering planned. Can I put this on hold for the time being? I am also receiving messages that my quoted has been reached. I am so indebted to you, I would be absolutely lost without your help

Eddie I don't know what time zone you're in, Im in Sydney Australia. Would it help if we could organise a video call on messenger at a time convenient to both? I understand I am asking an awful lot of you but I don't know where else to turn. My FB profile link is; https://facebook.com/stewart.brown.716.

If you're not comfortable with this I fully understand
