unable to set up brand new home pod mini, stuck
I purchased a brand new home pod mini directly from apple only.
I plugged it in and attempted to set up. It got stuck when trying to set up wifi. never connects and it's an infinite loop. Never leaves the wifi set up, never connects. even if I leave it for an hours, it gets stuck with spinning thing.
Now later in the day, my apple account gets locked and it is a nightmare to reset and change the password. This triggered each time I attempt to set up the HomePod mini.
Attempted to hard reset it (hold down button, red light...ect)
Attempted to update via brand new Mac, "restore" , didn't work
My home uses an Eero mesh router, not old, could it be amazon trying to sabotage me?
I tried to use the home kit app, still doesn't work
I am absolutely frustrated and returning it.
by the way, I have NEVER returned an apple product, have been a cestomer for 25 years. This is crazy!
